Hi guys,

So I am looking to upgrade my 5 year old pc, it's done its battles but it's time.
My main requirements for it are being able to do 4k video rendering ( higher priority ) and 4k gaming ( lower priority )
I kinda have the build in mind but I don't know which CPU to choose right now that's going to be good for my case.
I have no budget limit, but i would still prefer not to go over-kill on this one ( no 1k CPU ).

Case: be quiet! - Pure Base 600 w/Window (Black/Orange) ATX Mid Tower Case
Ram: Corsair - Vengeance LPX 32GB (2 x 16GB) DDR4-2400 Memory
SSD: Samsung 256GB 850 PRO SATA III SSD
Cooling: Corsair Hydro Series™ H90

GPU: Asus 1080ti ( I am getting this used from a friend )
Motherboard: TBD
CPU:  Threadripper 1920X / Intel - Core i7-7700K? / Other?

My main choice here is the 1920X since it's doing really good in video rendering and even beating the 7900X in some cases, cons are it's way more expensive.
Any recommendations, other CPUs, why I shouldn't or should choose either?
Thanks

I was asking mostly because in my region it has the same price as the 7700K and it has comparable performance on 4k editing, I do agree on the motherboards cost.
