Some questions about mining.

Go to solution Solved by MainDisco,

i would just mine ethereum.

yes, these wallets can be hacked, like email adresses. just look around the internet for some good wallet providers.

It should make some money with even 2 1070. Just set a miner up look at your hashrate and then use this calculator https://www.cryptocompare.com/mining/calculator/eth

to see how much profit you can make.

There is no way i know of to go around the mining fee.

Im using the nanopool ethereum pool right now https://nanopool.org/ there is also everything discribed how you set your miner up, including the softwear.

So I want to know a few things.

1. What is the best currency to mine with 4+ 1070s at $0.11 USD KH/h?

2. I know mining pools take part of your earnings, is there any way to avoid this?

3. Is it even worth mining at .11 USD KH/h?

4. I heard online wallets get hacked and you can lose your coins that way. I also know there is a hardware based offline storage for coins. How does this work, and should I use this? If so, how do I set it up?

Thank you.

Give nicehash a go. Their client will benchmark and adjust to best coin according to market rates. Once you have an idea of what's good, you can look to bypass them and use other means if you want to.

I haven't bought anything yet. So should I just pull the trigger and buy the cards and other stuff, then see which gives me a high hashrate? I looked at whattomine.com and put in 5 1070s, it says my hash rate is 150 MH/s at 600w. Do I just use that info on the cryptocompare and that is what I will be making? Thanks.
