I've been using seagate's backup plus for years. 

It works great. 

 

I think any generic brand is good enough. 

WD, Seagate, etc. 

 

Also I recommend using google photo to store all your photos. 0 risks, free for all. 

If it is not broken, let's fix till it is.

More than 100 MB/s. I think it is good enough. And TBH that's as fast as you get. 

Unless it is SSD to SSD. 

If it is not broken, let's fix till it is.
