Hello fellows.

Just got my new system, and a I'm pretty new to OC. Last time a friend of mine helped me out.

Could you guys maby help me out with some volts and so on?

Don't wanna put to much pressure on the components.

CPU : Ryzen 7 1700

MB : Asus ROG Strix B350-F

Memory : 16 GB (8x2) G.Skill Tridenz 3200MHz

Got it the CPU Water cooled

Thanks in advance

Yours, Grenta

well voltage is different from chip to chip and same with what they can OC to. That said I have yet to see a R7 1700 that couldn't do 3.7 on all cores at 1.3 volts and then you can basically tweak it from that.

I think the "safe" range for voltage for Ryzen is up to about 1.45V.

Disclaimer: If your CPU cannot do 3.7 at 1.3 volts and something bad happens then I take no responsibility.

Side note, my own R7 1700 can do 3.7 at 1,25V 100% stable, I haven't bothered to OC more since I don't really need more and I am lazy AF.

Before you buy amp and dac.  My thoughts on the M50x  Ultimate Ears Reference monitor review I might have a thing for audio...

My main Headphones and IEMs:  K612 pro, HD 25 and Ultimate Ears Reference Monitor, HD 580 with HD 600 grills

DAC and AMP: RME ADI 2 DAC

Speakers: Genelec 8040, System Audio SA205

Receiver: Denon AVR-1612

Desktop: R7 1700, GTX 1080  RX 580 8GB and other stuff

Laptop: ThinkPad P50: i7 6820HQ, M2000M. ThinkPad T420s: i7 2640M, NVS 4200M

Feel free to pm me if you have a question for me or quote me. If you want to hear what I have to say about something just tag me.

hopefully for you you bought a cl15 or cl14 version of that ram (thought maybe the asus board works better and you can use it) and then you can simply use XMP. for overclocking i'd suggest to lookup a guide with your particular board so you know exactly what the options are called and where they are.

i got mine at 3.8 and never got 3.9 fully working. it seemed to at first but after a few restarts it was unstable even at max voltage.

Hey man, this mobo (i have it too) is not entirely optimal for overclocking R7 really high, the power delivery should hold up to 1.35V but i wouldn't go any higher.

Don't buy Apple M1 computers with 8GB of RAM
