Hello my friend and I are both planning on building gaming PCs this year and I have a idea and wondered if it could be improved. (My first want 1080p wants to get into PC gaming but not spend that much money, while I want 1080p high 60fps).

My friend's build:

Ryzen 3 1200 £98

Asrock AB350M-HDV £61.19

Corsair Vengeance 8gb 2666 £66.24

WD Blue 1TB £39.95

Palit GTX 1050Ti Storm X £128.99

Bitfenix Nova £26.40

Be Quiet System Power 8 400w 80+ £39.97

Total £460.74

Is this PC good enough and what should be improved if not he also wants a duo monitor setup to have YouTube or internet open on his second screen, would he need to upgrade his processor for this? He likes to save money but will go up to £600 and doesn't care for looks.

My Build:

Ryzen 3 1200 or 5 1400 £98/£143.99

Gigabyte K5 £147

Gigabyte GV-RX580AORUS-4GD £240

Corsair Vengeance 8gb 2666 £66.24

WD Blue 1TB £39.95

Phanteks p400 £55

Be Quiet Pure Power 10 CM 500W 80+ Silver Certified Semi-Modular £65.99

Total £712.18/£758.17

I know the Motherboard is overkill but I love the way it looks and to me looks are a major part in what I decide to pick (dislike red and black builds hence orange and black) so any improvements for this? I plan just to game and I will pick up a Be Quiet Cooler down the line as well as another 8gb. I really want to keep it below £800

Tell your friend to spend the extra fiver for a Corsair CX450M PSU over the Be Quiet one.

For yours, get a cheaper B350 motherboard. Something all black. Then you can use LEDs for your Orange colour scheme and in the future, add some orange cable extensions to add a little more orange? Easy way to save money and stock with your colour scheme. Also save money on that PSU, I'd just get a CX450M or the cheapest fully modular PSU that isn't complete shit.

Then you should add at least a 120GB SSD to both systems. 240-256GB is ideal but 120-128GB is fine.

Oh, and do NOT get a 1500x. Get the 1400, or a 1600.
