Choosing a WiFi Cable Modem Router

PicoMaster

I just moved into a new apartment and got my first internet package, and I've heard that getting an aftermarket router will give you much better speeds than with the one they (in my case Comcast) will send you.

I am wondering what you would recommend me to get for an apartment with 4 college students living in it.

I personally wont really use the WiFi too much because I am generally using my desktop, but the other three will probably will use only WiFi.

So I have Comcast Xfinity, and I need to be able to have a strong WiFi network for them to use with their phones, laptops, etc.

I've already looked a little bit into Netgear's AC cable modem routers, but don't know if there is anything better that is cheaper.

Thanks for the help!

If you need more info to suggest me something, let me know.

if you on cable than don't worry, Let the scrubs fight over the Wifi and you'll get much faster speeds.
