Slow pc: 100% disck usage?

My pc has been being really slow at simple tasks and it's not because of the specs. I have a ryzen 7 1700 and a gtx 1060 6gb and 8gb of ram. I can run games perfectly fine and how i would expect, but for some reason things like file explorer and google chrome are sometimes really slow (chrome slow not internet slow). When i open task manager everthing is below 50% usage exept for disk1 (windows install) which is at 100%.

have you just installed windows? it scans and indexes your harddrives after a little while.. this sucks and can't really be avoided easily.. it might help to disable search indexer

If you are in task manager you should be able to see what programs are using up you disk.

I would suggest you buy an SSD for the boot drive. You won't regret it.
