Windows 10 Welcome screen flashing

Hi!

Today I was playing PUBG and it crashed a couple of times. Then I decided to look this problem up and I came across a YouTube guide. In the guide the guy opened up CMD and wrote "sfc /scannow". I did the same and then I restarted my computer.

Now when I try to start it my windows gets stuck at the Welcome screen and keeps flashing every second or so.

I have a Windows 10 theme installed and it might be the problem?

I have Windows 10 Pro 1703 if that will help.

Do you have your system install media? If so I'd boot that up and select the repair option. then follow the instructions and that will fix any issues with your windows system files.

If someone has helped you out on the forum don't forget to give them a reaction to say thank you!

What is "Windows 10 Theme"?

But yes, follow what Ben Quigley suggests. Do a startup repair from Windows installation/recovery disk. Just pick "repair Windows"  instead of the "install" button.

I use UX Theme installer and StartIsBack

UX Theme modifies system files, so when you did "sfc /scanow" to repair Windows, some files where replaced, and other probably failed to be fix as the OS is running. So when you rebooted, you have the surprise that you are facing.

Another thing you can do, is a system restore with a previous restore point (assuming you didn't disable that). Basically, you bring your system back in time without affecting your personal data. Restore Points are automatically created before installing a program, driver, and Windows Update.
