I completed a new build and got my USB ready to go but the issue is I can't get it to POST. The first time I turned it on, I had forgotten to plug in the CPU fan (using the H100i so technically the radiator) and I got an error that said CPU fan not installed and it turned itself off. So I plugged the fan into the CPU slot and now when I turn it on 3 leds come on and go off and it turns itself off. I'm using the ASUS M5A97 R2.0 AM3+ AMD 970.

It hurts me that you chose AM3+...

So basically check all your connectors especially your power connectors. Make sure that they're all securely inserted.

Try reseating the ram and/or reinserting the CPU.

Try just plugging a random fan into the CPU fan slot and try again.

Sometimes people have plugged the wrong cable into the wrong slots.

ie. VGA power into the CPU 8 pin, Don't do that ever.

I suck a typing, preparw for typos.

Yeah I will have to double check everything in the morning. THe only reason I have an Am3+ is because I got a really good deal on it a couple months ago and only got around into finishing it by slapping a 1050 Ti in it.
