when to expect coffee lake?

so 21st aug will be the official announce date for coffee lake but what month will we actually see them in the market? should i wait for coffee lake laptops?

For the average PC user, does new iterations of processors even provide any substantial difference? I get it from a video/photo editing standpoint but if I'm just a gamer or if I'm just browsing the web, do I really need to have the latest and greatest processor?
