Putting a rig for my friend together so i need to see if this will do for him. 

 

He is not a big AAA gamer and doesnt care about graphics. He wants cheap as possible but still able to output 1080p @ 60FPS

Get a grey label (2017) CX unit, the green label ones are terrible. Other than that, should be a great 1080p rig for med/high settings.

Actually that MSI mobo he quoted is pretty good, probably more stable than this asus.

B350 motherboards, MSI and Asrock has the best VRMs .

RIP MSI...  The boards look great, but despise RAM and Zen CPUs. Except for the B350 Tomahawk, it seems to work great.

True, they are a big mess when it comes to bios.

Asrock is usually my weapon of choice.
