Fan noise? How freaking loud is your setup!? :D Or how sensitive is your mic!? lol

Realtek boards (some of them) have noise canceling software in the HD manager, if you have it. Or you can download Equalizer APO and run a low pass or high pass filter on your mic, though I doubt that will be enough to cut back the fan noise since it is unlikely to be either super low or high frequency.

However, frankly, I don't think your description is correct. Record something and post it here. I bet we're hearing something else OR we can reconfigure your hardware. Be sure to have about 5 seconds of silence + a few seconds of you talking.

Also post what mic you're using and if you can, a picture of how your setup looks (where the mic is, where the tower is, etc). Short of having your PC fan exhaust blowing into the mic I am hard pressed to imagine a situation where you can hear the fan! lol

I just did a recording while running Forza Horizon 3 (which is the game I play when I am talking to my friends) and I couldn't hear any noise apart from the game sound. Ill attach the video anyway so you can have a look:

Hey @A Silver - Well, actually what I am looking for is JUST a recording of the mic. No game sound, that's just going to get in the way of hearing the problem. Also be sure to record a few seconds of talking or something. Some programs / software have AGC or noise gates that will turn on or off, also ruining the 'real' results.
