Buy larger ssd for faster random write speed?

Bluuz

I'm thinking of buying a Samsung Evo, but I'm stuck on deciding which capacity to go for.

The 250GB version is going for $150, while the 500GB version is going for $300. Both are $0.60/GB.

They are similar in nearly all specifications aside from random read/write, with the 500GB being nearly 50% faster than the 250GB (90iops vs 66iops) The 500GB also features a 6GB buffer for turbowrite vs 3GB.

Are the performance differences alone enough to justify getting a 500GB over the 250GB?

Two 250's

It sounds like bad idea, but it's something I'd do.
