how do i do that ahah

Use the controls on the monitor

if you have something like a raspberry pi connected up to that monitor and if the wifi chip in your laptop is good enough, yes. at 5fps.

teamviewer will give you a .. somewhat pleasant experience, wouldn't use it for more than a minute though

wireless hdmi?

Ryzen 5 3600 stock | 2x16GB C13 3200MHz (AFR) | GTX 760 (Sold the VII)| ASUS Prime X570-P | 6TB WD Gold (128MB Cache, 2017)

Samsung 850 EVO 240 GB

138 is a good number.

is it possible to mirror my laptops screen to my pg279q without using the display port. if so how?

Unless if it's a wireless supported display then no you still have to stick to the good old cable.

edit: okay there are some other options but they are rather sketchy and it would save time and maybe even money to just use a cable.
