Ping Spikes on new router

223342_1454181628

Please give us some more information as to what you are using for you setup.  What speeds do you pay for and what type of internet is it (wireless, DSL, cable, fiber etc.) and have you had these problems in the past?  Also are you seeing these ping spikes on a wired or wireless connection?

It's a wireless connection and I was using the comcast modem/router bundle before, and I had some issues with it, ping spikes over wifi, and now it almost seems like it's worse after getting this new router.

Did you disable wireless on the Comcast modem/router? Or did you do the smart thing and buy your own modem? Also, DLink is not known for having the best routers in the world. The only reason my Dlink router is still functioning is because I flashed it with DDWRT or else it would have been replaced months ago.

I just want to sit back and watch the world burn.

Wireless is always bad when it comes to gaming. If you can run an Ethernet cable to your PC it'll be much better. No latency issues.
