No, must be displayport, as the daisy chaining uses features only displayport has.

Hi,

i have a Dell 1440p monitor which support daisy-chainig another 1440p monitor via dp-cable.

My motherboard has a dp 1.2 and hdmi 1.4 header. If have tried now different 5m dp cables which all had some issues. Can i use the hdmi-connection and get 60hz for both daisy-chained 1440p monitors?

HDMI wont work with the daisy chaining.

BTW
"the monitor directly connected to the graphics card must have DP 1.2 enabled in the monitor settings. Monitor number two in the chain must have DP 1.2 disabled."
