What tools should I use to remove viruses on my PC. What does Computer techs USE. I would like any free software.

Press windows key + R

 

type mrt.exe and hit enter

 

It isnt the best but that way you dont need a 3th party tool

 

 

If the option above doesnt work. Malwarebytes is good free tool to remove malware.

I have heard people using Malwarebytes Anti-Malware and HitmanPro.

 

It really comes down to what kind of virus are we talking about. Some viruses might need some specific tools, that are designed for them and them only.

Malwarebytes Anti-Malware and Avira. Avira is your anti virus, and Malwarebytes is virus removal service that is specialized for brand new malware.

Malwarebytes and Avira are the two best anti-virus and spyware programs I can think of that are free. Definitely give Malwarebytes a hit, it's the least invasive by far.

Malwarebytes isn't designed to be an everyday anti-virus.

It doesn't cover older viruses.

Is avira still a thing, last time I used it it was back on my old xp setup and it was comically bad. Have steered clear of it ever since.

Avira has changed a lot and it's really good now. I would recommend it over Avast and AVG.
