Help with white build

Yo!

 

So, I'll be moving to a different country soon.
For this, I'll dismantle my PC and bring the parts, then get a new case over there.

I'm planning out my desk setup and I want to get a white PC case.

Now, there's a few caveats.

My motherboard is EATX, which limits my case selection a bit.

Also, I plan on swapping it out later because I'm running Intel right now, and I have a GTX970.

I've been itching to go back to the red team and this seems to be the perfect time to do it.

BUT, I want to do a fully white build and apparently there's no white motherboards for the TR4 socket yet (If I'm gonna swap to AMD I want to get the very best they have, it'll be useful for my 4k video editing).

Also, even among the white cases, most are still black inside, which is a no-no!

So I guess it'll be a step by step white build. First I'm moving my current components inside a white case, and then I'll slowly swap out the internals for white stuff.

I guess one route I could go is get black stuff with RGB lighting, but this will create more of a black/white theme. I'm trying to go fully white!
Any suggestions?

Just buy the case and spray the remaining black parts white, I did it with in win 303. In fact I sprayed pretty much everything white. As for x399, msi must have an arctic or tomahawk in the pipeline

I looked at these two series for ryzen 7 and there's one issue: I need 10 gigabit LAN. Neither of them had it... Not to mention they're not TR4.
Then I found the AORUS which has RGB all over. Also no 10GBit LAN.
Finally, looked at the ASUS ROG ZENITH EXTREME which does have 10GBit LAN but that's black, albeit RGB.
Do we know if the TR4 MSI boards are getting 10GBit LAN?

Why not an addon card for 10Gbit?

You're going to have a very hard time finding non-server parts with 10Gb LAN.

I know Asus (I think it was them) came out with a 10Gbit copper addon card for $100

The white Noctis 450 and H440 have white interiors.

MSI makes a lot of white boards, so does ASRrock if they make a TR4 Pro4

Hmmm I guess an addon card is a good idea, BUT I'd like to get it in the Motherboard if I can because I feel like the high price we'll pay for X399 should warrant that. Although, an addon card like that shouldn't be too expensive, right?

Yeah I think I'm sold on the H440. Colorware has skins for it which I might do... Hmmm thanks!
But wait, does it fit an EATX board in it?

Judging by your component selection you're not afraid of having a healthy budget, so I'll suggest my two favorite ATX cases:

• Thermaltake Tower 900
• Caselabs Bullet 7/8

Honorable mentions:

• Caselabs Mercury S8
• Phanteks P400S TG

Was also thinking asus may do a x399 deluxe just might not be able to go threadripped on release

 

alternatively just get which ever board you like and use a monoblock on water like i did with my ryzen build

All aluminum case eh? I LIKE IT.

The tower one, I really like the fishtank look, but for it to have the look I want, I'd need ALL components to be white... I'm not sure that's possible (I'm guessing we will see a LOT of new hardware being released in time for the holidays so this problem might go away.... what do you think?)

I've been able to find air coolers in white, but not liquid AIOs...

Another, cheaper, option is white tape.

Fans can be replaced pretty easily

Just be careful though, it doesn't list the Deepcool in the compatible list so you might have to tweak it or something

And I split the monoblock apart and applied white vinyl around the outer edges to keep it in the white theme

We also offer a version for compatible Corsair AIO's as well. You can find these at a variety of resellers already, with these coming to other resellers very soon if not already available.

It looks like I'm gonna go full custom loop so that's no longer an issue, but the attention is much appreciated!!!
I'm still getting cablemod stuff for power though :-)

Ok so, since it's my first custom loop, I should start with soft tubing, right.

And, if I get the Vega RX 64, do I get the air one to save $ then remove the shroud and install the EK block?
Or do I get the water cooled one and just take the AIO out and plug in the EK tubes instead?

So wait, you painted the reservoir right?
I'm at the EK site and all the ones I see are black.
