Which lga2011 cpu

I had gotten a Rampage V Edition 10 motherboard from a friend for my bday so I am looking to build a lga2011 computer but not sure which cpu is best for overclocking any help is appreciated  thanks

The cheapest one is the one I use personally - 5820K.

Hexa core, 12 threads. It's a proper beast

I would go 5820k but the Xeons are good if you are not gaming that much

Yep mostly cause I built a entire for i7 system for his birthday wasn't nothing special but he needed an upgrade

Should have mentioned it but yes i will be using as my primery gaming rig also as my work computer

Well.. The 5820k is basically the bottom of X99,  at least if you're going for something non-xeon.

The cheapest Xeon I found is the The Xeon E5-2603v3

I'd go for the 5820k as the only difference between it and the 5930k is a slight clock difference which evens out With OC, and the number of PCI-e lanes, respectively 28 and 40. And the increased number of lanes aren't necessary unless you ar planning to run 3+ GPU's. The difference in performance when running a gpu in x8 or x16 is negliable.

The 5960x I would only buy if you have a lot of Money to burn.
