I am most happy with this. I will use it for CAD, editing, gameplay on youtube, maybe twitch and of course gaming.  I have ordered all the parts today, and they should be coming in in a couple of weeks. Pictures will be coming (good pictures, will be taken with a Canon 60D). I had a budget of $500 and I think I did it justice.

The original list is fine as is if the OP doesn't care about rebates.

Dude.The 6300 is 110$ in newegg now.

please?

Bad bad bad idea. He has the only MATX board capable of running an FX and it has no VRM cooling. TBH I would be amazed if he can even hold stock clocks on that board without it throttling, let alone a FX 8.

Sadly there just aren't any AM3+ MATX boards capable of running a FX 8. Not even at stock, due to the fact they have absolutely no mosfet cooling.

It's basically because none of these boards were originally designed for FX, more the Phenom 2 which had a much lower TDP. What's a real shame is that with decent VRM cooling a 4+2 board can actually piss with the big boys. I've got an Asus M5A97 running a 8320 @ 4,3ghz, but only because Asus bothered to fit half decent mosfet cooling (see pic in link).

And see pic of his board.

So this time around the FX 8 should be avoided, unless he wants to mod his board.

Area 51 2014. Intel 5820k@ 4.4ghz. MSI X99.16gb Quad channel ram. AMD Fury X.Asus RAIDR.OCZ ARC 480gb SSD. Velociraptor 600gb. 2tb WD.
