Hi!

I have some performance issue with battlefield 1 after the latest update. I got lower fps like from the 90-s to the 60-s. The game is set to max settings, CPU usage is 100%, GPU usage is around 80%, but not stabel. Sometimes i get drops to around 40 fps.

The other thing that i noticed is something reads the hard drive constantly. Maybe this puts more work to the cpu, and i lose performance. I get 7.8 GB memory usage, and after some time it drops to 6.4 GB. No programs running in the background, i always check. If i wanna see what is reading the HDD it just says bf1 or system threads.

Is this because i dont have enough ram?

i5-6600 3.6 GHz

8 GB DDR3 1866 MHz

Gigabyte GTX 1060 6 GB

to help u with finding the program using the disk, in task manager, click on procsses, press the disk 'title' this will sort ur programs and show the program that is most using ur disk. just slowly go through that list until u find the software

Also check reddit and various forums for Bf1 CPU bottleneck fix's. (Google around first)

*I know I got FULL GPU usage at 100% cpu load with my i5 by changing prerendered frames to a different value, and it cleared all my drops up.

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz

its the game, i have the same problems i5 4690k 4,7ghz. The game engine just rquires so much cpu power. my aorus wont go above 50% usage in 1440p ultra without DSR

There ARE fixes available, but what actually works for you, can vary.

I had an i5 4690 (locked i5) and I ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS had 90-100% GPU usage in all maps after doing some checking on what others have tried and used for getting the most out of their systems in BF1.

I'm not telling you what to do, it's trial and error anyway, but best to do some research and fix your problem, cos it's fixable.
