Best gaming headset/mic combo?

Hey all, 

 

Have been using the SteelSeries Siberia v2 forever and love them... except I HATE wires.

 

They are the death of me and the name of my existence. The wire on my Siberia's literally gets ripped out of my computer, rolled over by my chair, snagged, etc. (mind you I'm pretty careful with my things...) 

 

Anyway - looking for a wireless headset for gaming. I was looking at the Arctic 7, which seems to be great for a decent price, but wanted to get some opinions before ordering.

 

Might also be worth mentioning that I own a pair of Sony MDR-1000X's... but not sure if they'd be great for gaming. The sound quality is brilliant, but I would have to buy a mic (probably a yeti) for it to be feasible as the mic on the Sony's is subpar. 

 

What say ye? 

 

Is the Arctic 7 the best out right now? Am I better off using my MDR's and getting a mic? What other options should I explore? (I would go speakers but prefer the immersiveness of headsets.) 

 

TLDR; Hate wires. Looking for best possible wireless gaming headset (with mic), or use MDR1000X and get a Yeti.

If you like the Siberia v2 im sure you will like the arctis
