New Used Gaming PC

Does $350 include the peripherals, monitor, etc or does he already have those?

Haha, I'd like to see that.

If at first you don't succeed, try try again..

If putting into a prebuilt, some motherboards don't use standard PSU pins.

he already has peripherals

Your best bet is looking at the used market.

I'm assuming you're in the US, so I'll use USD.

i5 4590 - $100

Basic motherboard - $30 (loads on eBay)

8GB RAM - $30

Case - $30 (Amazon, new)

Check out your local classifieds. If you're going the eBay route, you'll have to check out parts and wait a couple weeks to see what you can get. Most items will sell too high, but you only need to win one.

I am aware of that, that is why I said I would do research on the motherboard before I do any builds like that.

Technically a 1080p gaming rig /shrug, probably wanna get a better PSU though: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/hXgdVY

Ehhh I suppose. Though that PSU leaves a lot to be desired, the mobo might need a BIOS update, and there's no peripherals.

I won't bug you about the 5400rpm HDD ;)

You can't post eBay links on the forums ;)
Also, that's a scam.

Few computer parts are worth purchasing on eBay. Most go for much higher than they're worth, and some higher than it'd cost to buy from a retail store.

Oh, forgot to mention that, the mobo is shipped with latest BIOS, so it should be fine.
