GPU not running 100% on certain games

Go to solution Solved by Dujith,

Hots is not really made for alot of FPS and is much more CPU dependent. It also has a lower tick rate then Overwatch which was 20 not long ago.

So should not matter tbh

CPU = 5930k OC to 4.0GHz no CPU Bottleneck

When running Ghost Recon Wildlands GPU is pegged at around 100% with GPU clocked at 2088Mhz.

When running Heroes of the Storm, GPU is pegged at around 32-37% with GPU clocked at 1747Mhz.

I own a 144Hz monitor and this only makes my game run at 120FPS, when I bump the game from Medium to Extreme it makes my game run at 90FPS without making the GPU usage or clock go any higher.

Searched the internet, I have done these 2 things.

1) In Nvidia Control Panel, changed power management to Prefer Maximum Settings. Did not work, I changed it back to default.

2) Max out the setting, all the did was make my FPS lower without affect GPU usage/clocks.

Help appreciated.

What's the matter with 100% GPU usage? That's what you want, it means you aren't bottle necked at all. I would kill to have my GPU have 100% usage in Wildlands and BF1

I see. That's not great, I wanted to hit the 144FPS mark.

Ghost Recon is just on there to show that there's no CPU bottleneck.
