Hello everyone,

It has been over 2 years since I got my lenovo y 50-70 gaming laptop, a one trick pony that allowed me to do school and play when nothing interesting was happening in class. But with change, I have become to work more from home here in Canada. My work mostly revolves around working with spread sheets, carrying out calculations and very heavy multitasking (to the point that even my laptop and the 950 evo pro I put has trouble working on 6 applications at once) but I am still a gamer at heart and have an ever increasing library of steam games, both mainstream (Overwatch, Dota 2) and demanding titles like GTA 5, Fallout 4, Metro Series. Always wanted to have a PC that would be able to run games at max or close to max with no compromise but still be able to handle work process and huge data spreadsheets and data analysis. As for the monitors I currently have an ACER G247HYL, I bought just to run it as a dual setup with my laptop, I am looking to still use a dual set up at some later time with this new pc but the new monitor would be over 60hz and WQHD perhaps. As for the peripherals I am already set with a Razer Balckwidow Ultimate Mechanical Keyboard (very pleasurable to write with) and basic wireless mouse which I am looking to upgrade to a Razer Death Adder or something along that lines, just because of matching looks and because of the integrated macro feature (very useful for repetitive work). My upgrade reason is that I want to and I have the chance to do so.

Ok, so my budget is $2300 before tax expecting the tax to run at 13% of that amount, maybe less. Not factoring in the shipping.

There is no budget set out for a CPU cooler and case as I will have it as a gift. But more on that later.

CPU: Core i7 7700K

MotherBoard: Asus - Strix Z270F ATX LGA1151

Storage: Samsung - 850 EVO-Series 250GB 2.5'' SSD

Seagate - Barracuda 3TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Drive

Video Card: GeForce GTX 1080 Ti STRIX

Corsair - CSM 650W 80+Gold Semi-Modular ATX

Case and Cooler: Deepcool Genome ROG Cert. Ed. (Can any1 confirm if you can mount a 1080ti card into this chassis?)

Need some suggestions on some fans to go in the front

both bought from Canada Computers if possible.

There is also a matter of fact if using one supplier is better than multiple ones, (maybe use newegg and use up the 30 day trial).

Any thouhgts and inputs on this build are highly appreciated,

Thank you all

also if you want to multitask alot and need extra cores and threads the r7 1700 is always a good choice as you get an 8 core 16 thread beast for the same cost as the 7700k. you will get slightly less performance in games at 1080p but it is relatively small now with all the performance increases of ryzen with optimization.

I will look into the PSU, I am a Green and Blue fanboy but I will keep it in mind, thank you Brooksie.

Kwiksilver, my friend did voice his opinion about getting a 2400 set instead but I saw another video about 3200 being more optimal for a K processor (should rewatch LTP about ram again) and welcome to Canada, that is 1000 Canucks not USD.
