Blue Snowball is good. If you don't have desk space, get a snowflake and mount it on your monitor. However the Snowflake's drivers on Windows 8 are flakey. (Pun intended)

For playing pc games I use a pair of headphones however when I play any multilayer game with my friends I'm forced to use a headset for chat. Iv finally gotten sick of the inferior audio quality found on most headsets so I'm looking for a good microphone to use in combination with my headphones. Id appreciate any suggestions thanks.

Bue Snowflake is a good one, if you want better, get the Blue Snowball or Blue Yeti. On the cheap, get the Zalman clip-on mic. 

 

I would say modmic, but as you're in Ireland, the shipping will make it.. not worth.

Thanks for the suggestion, I think ill will go with a blue snowball. As for windows 8 there not a snowballs chance in hell id use it on a desktop pc.

If you're not recording, save some money and go with the snowflake. Should be about the same for normal chat with friends.
