I bought a X58 complete system with i7-920, 1TB, 500W, W7, 16GBDDR3 for $200CAD which is $150USD, so there are great deals out there, but you gotta wait.

Go with the i5-4690, that way you'll get something that works perfectly now and for a little future. Should easily handle a gtx 1060 if you ever want to upgrade.

You are in a dilemma my friend.

My feeling is $250 is your limit.

 

Buy one of the mobo's I listed on ebay for $100-$150

Snag a Xeon X58 cpu for $35

 

Thats your only way

 

Or you may have to buy an old server like the HPZ600 or T3500 and install your $35 Xeon.

Wait what if I just got 1 8gb stick of ddr4. That would come out to about 270 or 280 depending on where i find the ram and if i find some used or not.

That way you get to use the max ram Freq of your motherboard at 1600mhz, and same price.
