Hey guys so I was wondering is it possible to build a pc with the gtx 1080 ti only spending around 1600 or 1700 usd? I see all these videos on YouTube and Ręddit posts about people wasting 2k + build a using it but was wondering if they are just paying for aesthetics. I have 2500 currently saved up from my job but I'm going to buy a 500 dollar 1440 p 165hz Monitor  and I still need to buy the mouse keyboard desk chair and speakers. I'm completely new to pc gaming as I just moved to it from console is their anyway I could get a good build for around that price range without sacrificing  quality of the parts inside the pc because of the budget ?

This is what I've got. Looks was NOT taken into account, so you might want to find some better color coordinated parts, but this is pretty good.

A little bit over, but $50 shouldn't be the end of the world in an ultra-high end build

For high refresh rate gaming the i7 7700K is basically king *if* it clocks to 5GHz and over, I have a 5.2GHz @1.44v and I plan to get a 1440p 165Hz monitor soon, so I know I have the CPU horses to push for that FPS. Understand that 165Hz is NOT budget, and at 1440p it's pretty premium, the monitiors comes with the premium price, so if you cheap out you mightn't even get the 165Hz

Yours faithfully

Used filters as much as possible, but manually selected the SSD and PSU. Would suggest getting a 1080 Ti with a better cooler and PCB, and maybe a better case, for a better building experience. You're also likely to reuse your case if you decide to upgrade everything else

:)

and other guys also made a tower that costs $2500...

Well I though $70 will sort out a desk and if he really needs speakers and headphones he can sort one out later. But yhh I forgot about the bloody chair....
