So I am looking to make a top down 2d simulation game.

I am looking for a game engine that's as simple as possible. I looked at Rpg maker and I'm not sure if it will work for me.

It's a no combat game you just work and do mini game type things in the open world. Like clean the spilled water.

So i need an AI system like random AI can spawn and walk around the store you work in and stuff like that.

I know I'll need to code to I know how to code in other stuff so I can pick up on new languages.

Gamemaker i used before but it was okay, unity and UE is not at my comfort level right now.

I used this one before where I could easily make a world with pre existing objects and stuff but it was 3D not 2D but I'd like something like that. Like click and place objects that I can edit to my liking.

And alotnof built in coded elemetmets or a simple code system likenifni there's one with its own code that's easy compared to real code

well i would say Unity because its really great. has good documentention and tutorials for almost anything. Gamemaker is another, arguably better choice, but its quite an expensive pice of software last time i checked

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)

Spoiler

Is there a way I can ask your friend questions about it? Or you via pm and you ask for me?

I have stuff I want to do and I was thinking to make sure game maker can do them

No he isn't on this forum and I doubt he would be willing to help ANYONE basically lol. Good luck though, there is probably a pretty simple way to do what you want

Humm I'm not asking for.help just simple yes and no questions. I am a quick learner but even learning quick takes awhile with learning a whole new language. Gamer maker uses GML and I don't want to waste my time if it can't do what I want.

I'm thinking more advanced. Like mini games and storage system. Money systems. AI, pathfinding
