I have been trying for hours to get my old pc(From a few years ago) to work, but nothing will make it boot. It just worked a couple weeks ago.

I've tried:

Booting in case with no changes - Nothing

Booting out of case with all existing IO attached - Nothing

Booting in "testbench" config - Nothing

Booting with different RAM - Nothing

Cleared CMOS using removal of battery and using pins: Nothing

After a little while, I changed my specs from:

A4-7300

F2A68HM-H

8GB Tested-Working RAM

Tested-Working PSU

To...

Same config, but with a XFX R7 360 Tested Working

And ran all of the same tests to no avail.

However, I did realize towards the end, that it is actually in a boot loop, since it turns off the GPU fans every ~15 seconds

So, It could either be:

1: Faulty Motherboard for, some odd reason

2: Not replacing the thermal paste since purchased (Thermal Paste is crap; if you want pics, i will post them)

Any Thoughts???

(Also, i'm new to this forum for the best youtuber on the internet, so I don't know how to define the forum)

List of Things (From Tom's Hardware) that may be applicable to your case.

1.Did you carefully read the motherboard owners manual?

2. Did you plug in the 4/8-pin CPU power connector located near the CPU socket?

4.Did you verify that the video card is fully seated?

6.Have you tried booting with just one stick of RAM installed?

7.Did you verify that all memory modules are fully inserted?

8.Did you verify in the owners manual that you're using the correct RAM slots?

11.Are there any bent pins on the motherboard/CPU?

12. If using an after market CPU cooler, did you get any thermal paste on the motherboard, CPU socket, or CPU pins?

13.Is the CPU fan plugged in?

15. Are any loose screws laying on the motherboard, or jammed against it? Are there any wires run directly under the motherboard?

17.Did you install the system speaker (In order to listen to beep codes)?

21.Have you tried resetting the CMOS?

22. If you have integrated video and a video card, try the integrated video port.

Additionally, Depending on the chip, you may need to use video output from a GPU in order to view a post.

Now the weird thing is, without Ram installed, it still does the boot loop, so either the ram slot is broken or the traces on the back are shorted.
