First Gaming Build

Hello,

 

I recently was helping an old teacher of mine upgrade their computing class PC's to ryzen 5 1400 CPU's and 8 GB ram (up from some old AM3 processor). At the end they had a few spare processors and they gave one to me, I thought I would build my first gaming PC, I have a spare Samsung 850 evo 500 GB SSD already and I am thinking of pairing the build with 16 GB of corsair Vengence LPX and a GTX 1060 6 GB. Would this last through the next couple of years? Also any other suggestions would be appreciated.

Remeber to use ddr3 as AM3 uses that type of RAM

An old AM3 CPU used in class, I would guess Athlon II X4 or Phenom

CPU: Ryzen 2 2700@ 4.0Ghz    Mobo: Gigabyte X470 Gaming 7 Wifi    Cooler: EVGA CLC 240    GPU: GTX1080 FTW DT @ 2113Mhz   PSU: EVGA 750W P2   

Case: Fractal Design Meshify C   Displays: 34" LG34UC79G, 24" Dell

What are you talking about? He was given a 1400 for free
