hey dont know where to post this but who else would like to watch linus or luke do a video on building your own keyboard

wait you do know keyboard is manufactured in the factory right, so if linus or like were to build a kb with switches they;d have to build a factory as well

Actually not entirely true. There are DIY keyboard kits where you can buy a PCB and mount your own switches to make your own custom keyboard.. Look up Phantom Keyboard.

That's more like assembling parts that are purchasable rather than making your own, like the modular mouse Linus reviewed before

Eh... kind of. So if they 3D printed a case and ordered a PCB and Cherry switches, isn't that technically what keyboard manufacturers do? They make their own cases and make/order an OEM PCB and their switches from other companies and assemble it?

Linus did something similar, type writer to keyboard something or other.

You do realize however, Linus has ZERO experience actually building shit with his hands right.

But maybe Luke could do the 3D printer thing, then switches, and pcb.

Have it orange, everything orange.

Maybe add colored water, a sense of cooling, but its just another form of RGB.

Far too technical for them to do. They cant even build a desk right. Have you seen him try to slide boxes on the concrete warehouse floor. Its very sad to see. April fools day vid, I am shaking my head just thinking about it and visually seeing Linus in my head trying to move a box. Next up was the sound isolation fabric in the server room, notice how Linus uses the hammer. Then to finish it off with a jab of insult, some of the fabric did not even stay up.

Linus should not even think about doing your idea OP.

So basically assembling pre-made kit? Did you see arcade machine video? At the moment that was almost too hard for them. I don't remember seeing anyone from LMG solder anything in awhile (Taran might be most qualified for that job). Maybe if they did some Arduino or RPi project as warmer. In any situation, you wouldn't see any lengthy video of them soldering for 5 hours. It would be 9-10min highlight reel of the whole process.
