I have been looking for a laptop that I can take with me on the road from time to time. One that is powerful enough to game and do some video editing, but also is decent looking and light enough.

I currently have it narrowed down to two. The Alienware 13 R3 with an i7-7700HQ, GTX 1060, and OLED display; and the Gigabyte Aero 15 with i7-7700HQ and GTX 1060.

If you want more details on either feel free to look them up. Also willing to hear any other suggestions but am pretty dead set on one of these at the moment. To me, the Alienware might have a smaller screen but the color accuracy of an OLED display is pretty nice, and the ram and ssd's are still upgradeable just like the Aero 15. But the Aero has a slicker design and weighs less. But that is why I am here asking for opinions I guess xD

I don't know a heck of alot about either, but I have known some people who have had issues with the paint peeling on gigabyte machines. I don't know about alienware, but I know the dell latitudes hold up very well against everyday wear and tear.

If you are looking primarily for something thin and light, go with the gigabyte. But if you are after performance, check out the thermals of both machines.
