So I'm a teenager and I have a summer job from which I will earn a nice sum of money (not a lot, but it's sufficient). Right now I have an I5 6600k and I'm interested if that CPU is capable of recording gameplay of Battlefield 1 and possibly Rainbow Six Siege (on 1080p) or do I have to upgrade to an I7. If the upgrade is needed should I get a 6700k (or just a 6700 if the performance isn't much different) and keep my old mobo or should i go with Kaby Lake?  (I also heard that you can use a Z170 board with a Kaby Lake CPU) Ryzen unfortunately is not an option, too much to replace in my PC.

Recording with shadowplay will be fine, streaming is what would result in an issue.

I don't use GeForce experience because it caused some performance issues on my PC, although I can try it if it's the simplest. Any other software I could use that's simple?

never heard of geforce experience doing that, but yeah use shadowplay, it puts the recording load on your gpu instead of your cpu

you can also do the same in obs, but its a little more complicated

The picture is of the settings that i use in obs to record 1080p 60fps with

for the free editing software, I like http://www.openshot.org/ (open-source), a lot of the other editors are just a load of shit tbh, like Camtasia. in general, just avoid any cnet or softonic websites, they typically have complete shit software. if I were you I would just go any use adobe premiere pro or sony vegas.

ps, if you go with adobe, your host file is here C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc

But don't you have to pay for adobe premiere and sony vegas? Also, how does rendering work, do i need a program for that, and will my CPU be ultra slow doing it?

What is that, do i need it when installing? Also, how much space do the recordings take on a HDD? And if i record in shadowplay for example, will it record my audio as well or do i have to do it separately?

I recommended pirating the software, so getting it for free, but it's a little not legal(i wouldn't worry tho).

If you aren't sure you want to pirate it, there is always a 30-day free trial to try it out

rendering works right in whatever video editor you use.
Shadowplay can be used to capture your mic, as well as your webcam.

Your CPU will perform fine for that

if you pirate Adobe premiere, it will tell you to block out ip's in your host file, so adobe can't check your license validity

no, don't know anyone who could make you a banner. In reality, it won't be looked at as much, so just make a simple background with your favorite game or something.
