I'm here for the obvious reason. My computer has me stumped. I've recently (like out of nowhere in the past week) had some weird things going on with my computer. It started when i was trying to download and older game from a CD case I had found. It asked to download all the stuff required to run it, and I did, then it asked me to restart the computer for something, I don't remember what it was at this time, and so I was forced to restart the computer. Well I hadn't had any other problems out of it until then, other than it having an out of date graphics card driver that was making rust not play very well. Anyways, it started repairing drive c: for some reason, and restarted. Didn't have a problem with it again until later that night when it just cut off, no warnings, nothing. So I rebooted it and it ran fine, no apparent damage so far. Well it asked to restart again sometime later and went back into repair mode to no avail. I couldn't figure it out for anything so I bought a Windows oem key and reinstalled windows. Worked great for a day. Now currently I have been experiencing these random points where my screen cuts off/freezes/lags and then goes to either a light blue(not bsod), gray, or pink. I have reinstalled windows and got it to quit doing it. Until I tried to update my drivers through GeForce experience. Then boom instant gray screen. I should also mention that it has been doing this even when in automatic repair. But currently I am stumped as what to do next. I'm slowly losing hope of being able to fix it as no one has a thread on this on Google nor do my friends who build computers can give me a definite answer. Someone please help.

Build:

Case: anideez cube

I5 6600k overclocked to 3.5GHz

64 bit ios

16gbs Kingston ram

Mobo: Ultra durable z170-HD3 DDR3

1000w power supply

Corsair water-cooler

1 256gb ssd

1 1tb hdd

1 4tb hdd

Not sure what else would be needed, ask and I'll see what other information I can gather

What GPU? You mentioned updating Nvidia drivers through Geforce Experience.

Can you open up Nvidia Control panel and check what driver version you have?

Okay I'm doing another install of Windows, this time formatting every drive, and installing Windows on to my ssd. Had multiple issues when trying to get to this point but once I could boot from my USB I haven't had the problem yet. I'm going to continue with what I'm doing now as I think I have narrowed it down to the driver's for my graphics card being crap

Update: Everything was going fine and then my computer shut off without warning, and then power came back on, fans tried to spin, power cut off and then back on, fans tried to spin again and then power cut off again. Then came up on next restart with windows failed to start, please boot from bootable media, some recent changes may be the cause, something to that nature. So here we go again
