Hello, I am trying to pick parts cheap as possible. The computer will only really be used for 2D and maybe 3D CAD work. the software i will be using is autocad and revit maybe a few others.

Please see link below with parts i have chosen i am trying to keep it at £500 and set on the case in the list. Will this be any good? grateful for any help you can provide as i am looking to start buying parts this month thank you in advance.

https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/WJKPqk

The reason for it been cheap is because I am going to start freelance CAD which will start off small and not very demanding on a computer. If it takes off I will upgrade to a lot better just need something to get me off the ground.

If you are going as cheap as possible, even resorting on old hardware, then you should visit the used market for everything but the power supply.

Reason I chose the old cpu was clock speed as you can tell I have no idea and the case was not a mistake just the fact I wanted something that would not take much room and something I wasn't going to replace I know it is over the top when I said cheap lol

You just don't need a 160 pound case. There are so many more alternatives that are just so much cheaper and probably  just as good if not better than that ft03. I mean, I use a carbide air 740 from corsair for my pc, and that is more than enough in terms of build quality. It costs like £50 less than the ft03. You don't even need that either. A £70-80 case is easily enough.

for a 500 pound rig, spending 80 pounds would be overkill. a cheaper 20-30 pound case would have made far, far more sense than smoking so much monry on a case.

Right I've gone of this set up here and just changed the case and power supply as I am getting everything through Amazon to make it easier and that one was over £60 and I've changed the storage to a western digital blue 250gb SSD only because it is a brand I know of see list below.

I would say away from PowerColor GPU. Their service is horrible and my RX 480 was not in good shape too.

@herman mcpootisy powercolro though

WD Blue is good.

but the SL308 is a really good performing drive, not popular but reviews shows it near on par with a high end Samsung 850 Evo (obv faster than the WD Blue you picked while costing same)
