Laptop specs for Credit Card Reader

I was wondering what the best specs for a laptop with a credit card reader should be (i.e. processor).  Just so it runs the programs with some processing power left over so it doesn't take more time than it has to.

Well, considering Square can run on a cellphone, I'd imagine anything modern would do.

Thanks, I think this is a little heavier program than that it's through a bank and it's connected to quickbooks or something and it will be offsite. I'm guessing a 7500U will be fine for all of that.  Also phones lag all of the time. Every transaction should take as little time as possible.
