Hi everyone,

When gaming sometimes the program: 'razerignamesound engine' uses around 50% CPU usage. I can end this task without any problems but what is the permanent fix?

Thanks!

If you're ok with it not running, try uninstalling it. From what I've just read it should show up as an actual program in your "Add/Remove Programs" list.

I have a Razer keyboard.  I install Razer Synapse only to get firmware updates when something actually needs it.  Stupid software is bloody annoying nagware, so I uninstall it every time I'm done.  Unless you need it for a specific function, uninstall that poo.

@PineyCreek and @Ezzy-525

It's the only the sound engine so maybe it's Razer Surround?

Mmmmm...yeah, then that's probably what it's for.  Might be more necessary for full headset functionality then.  Did you try updating the software or checking the Razer forums for this?

yes I did but there was no forum ot what so ever about it. Maybe I will post it on there forums first.

I tried searching on Razer and google for razeringamesound and found little.  If it's a part of the razer ingame suite of software though I don't think it is necessary for proper operation.  You could uninstall the Razer software, reboot, and see if the issue properly goes away.  If it does, and you don't lose function, good.  If you lose function, try reinstalling the software and see if it functions properly instead of taking stupid quantities of CPU resources.

Is it from Razer Surround or Razer Synapse?
