So from my HAF 912 i am getting something that still cools well and has plenty of room for my components, and found two that doesn't have closed off fronts and has the 5.25 inch bays so between the 750d airflow edition and the r5 which one is the least dated or newest, because i can't find any new cases that has a mesh front really with the optical drive bays and good airflow anymore that doesn't look like it has a close off front. if there are newer cases that has USB 3.1 gen 1 or usb 3 even for that matter let me know but between these two which one would be the best?

Sadly I havent seen any usb 3.1 headers just yet but there have been a couple of (very pricey) cases with type C connectors running 3.0, and most new cases have usb 3.0 type A's in them

If youre looking for 5.25" bays and front mesh theres actually more options than you'd think. Not everyone is going clean front look! :P

No there are usb 3.1 type a connectors on motherboards which are the same connector as usb 3.0 on a case, take the Msi gaming m5 for example with HAF 912 for example

Yes but you wont get USB 3.1 speeds, you need a usb 3.1 internal header on your motherboard and the case to get the 3.1 speeds on your front panel I/O

Image result for usb 3.1 header

I think it was just a new name for USB 3.0 or something but it doesn't have to be mesh front either something just just allows for good airflow like the fractal design r5 lets say, but that corsair one seems cool

The corsair one is neat because its a "dual chamber" meaning the PSU, hard drives and ODD's are on the right side and everything else is on the left where you can see it in the window

i am not talking about USB 3.1 as in the newer version i am talking about the USB 3.0 gen two which on MSI's motherboard site it says USB 3.1 gen 1, even on the motherboard it self it says in the 3.0 header usb 3.1 in which that connector right there can't fit in it anyways, the one i am talking about isn't real 3.1 it is just an updated name apparently
