Best R7 variant

Hello.

As the title states, I am wondering which off the R7 variants is the best at this time. The prices for the cpu's are: 1700-396$ 1700X-443$ 1800X-580$.

I will be pairing it with the NH-D15, Crosshair 6 Hero with Trident Z 3200mhz Cl14.

Which is the better option for the prices and thank you in advance for your help.

I think the 1700X @ $443 is the best, but it all depends on what you will be doing with it.

For an extra measly $140 get the 1800ZX @ $580, I mean you dont wanna skimp on cpu nor mobo.

1700. You can overclock it almost certainly to at least 3.8Ghz.
I would get 1700x only in that case if you don't have where to put those 50$, but I'd rather invest them in to any other parts. 1800X is bad value.

I don't have anywhere else to put the 50$ so I will get the 1700x. Will there be any difference between the two variants that is actually worth the difference?

The 1700X is binned a little better and should overclock further.

Which is what everyone buying an 1800X hoped. My 1700 is at 4Ghz (never tried to push further because I don't want to exceed 1.4V and not interested in 0.025GHz increments), whereas my friends 1800X hits a voltage wall at 4.025GHz...

1700 is the best bang for buck but since you don't have anywhere to spend 50$ you can get 1700X , if you want of course

In your bank account? Or mine if you prefer.

Yes the difference is no stock cooler with the X variant so be aware you will need to purchase a cpu cooler separately (I know you plan to). Which makes the difference more like $70-80.
