Clean Install

I have my windows product key, and I want to clean install windows 10 onto my new SSD. My SSD has roughly 650Gb of stuff on it, because I tried to clone earlier from my HDD and it didn't work. Does my SSD need to be empty before clean installing? If so, how would I delete everything on my SSD?

When you install windows you'll get to the part where you need to select the disk to install Windows on. When you're at this step select the SSD and click Delete and it will wipe everything.

When you install Windows 10 on the SSD in question (which has the stuff on it), it will format that entire drive.

So it will delete all stuff, without you having to do it yourself.
