First PC Build for gaming/ editing

https://pcpartpicker.com/list/T9fQbj

I put this list together to be around my budget of $1500 and be enough for mild gaming and a bit of editing.

However a few friends said it might not be able to handle any 3d modeling software and I just wanted to make sure if it's "future proof".

Btw, I plan on upgrading the 1050ti during Christmas to a 1070.

Any feedback or thoughts appreciated as I will be ordering later tonight ;-;

Thanks!

So what 3D modeling software are you envisioning to use, 3Ds MAX, Rhino, Sketchup, Inventor, Architectural BIM software, Blender?

As far as I can see with the future 1070 you'll be very well equipped, the only thing I see is RAM limitation on very complex 3D model scenes for normal work you'll be fine.

Why investing in a 1050 btw?

Why is it that every person building a new rig right now goes for the 7700K?

7700k is the best gaming CPU, for most people it would be a good choice, 6c/12t or 8c/16c are more for the enthusiasts.

I'd argue that a 1700X paired with some nice RAM as you mentioned earlier is a better option for everybody. It offers nearly the same performance with more cores.

The case comes with two fans but the front fan is "blocked" by the front lid with only top gaps on top and bottom so I planning on mounting two extra fans on the top.

The 7700k is for the same price as 7600k on newegg lmao. That's the only reason.
