Random noob question.

So all the fans in my pc are getting older (1 year+ on some, i know they can last longer, im just refreshing my pc right now) and I wanna start replacing them to balance out my color scheme more (wayyyy too much red right now)

 

ANYWAYS

 

I current use a H110i GT cooler and my whole case has 8 AF140's in it.

 

Should I buy 4 SP140's for my rad when I go to buy new ones or is it really not much of a difference?

If acoustics & thermal performance are fine, there is absolutely no point in changing from that of the included H100i GT's fans to those SP140s, as the included fans are already just SP140s without the colour ring and with grey blades.

 

Also, I do strongly find myself wondering as to of why exactly you require that of eight fans with only a single radiator present.

Whatever you have now is fine as for mechanics but the red LED is another factor. The radiator fans depend on your ambient, a lower ambient can have the AF if you like silence.

Lol I'm mainly running 8 for idk what reason really now that I think of it lol

 

I have 4 on my rad in push pull with an extra one up top in the optical drive bay, so 5 total up top, 2 in the front, and 1 exhaust in the back

 

All of them being Red led AF140's

 

Edit: reason I ask this is because I've always used AF fans and havent really noticed anything, I just dont wanna be ruining my radiator if i should be using SP fans on it.

you won't be ruining it. SP fans are actually (marginally) better for radiators because of their higher static pressure!

 

SP= static pressure

AF= airflow
