Here's a PCPartPicker list. I'm going to be using this build for a media/file PC, meaning it will be used for file backups using multiple drives, and distributing 1080p video over LAN. USB3 is an absolute must. I might buy my friend's GTX 460 for cheap and use it for a F@H machine. I am also possibly going to run Windows XP through VMWare in this for a testing VM. I don't have a hard drive in the build because I have a spare 1TB WD Caviar Black that I'm going to use. Budget is about $250 USD, however the lower the better (~$200?). Peripherals/OS are not needed because I have spares. PC will be on 24/7 with occasional restarts. I also don't mind any brand as long as they are reliable.

I chose the 200R because of the internal 3.5 bays. I have a lot of high capacity laptop drives that I don't use and am thinking about a RAID setup with some WD Reds in the future. I have the Rosewill FBM-01 and it feels cheap when working with it. Good for $20, although I want something a little more premium. If I could get any other case with at least 3 drive cages, I would be fine.

Ah, I see. Then I would go with the 200R, but take the hardware I threw into play since you won't need the Z77 overclocking features. Also, the processor is substantially cheaper for .2GHz difference.

I only have one concern with the 200R, does the drive cage get toasty with 4 drives all running at once?

So long as you have fans, no.
