How do I know if my router is going bad or if its my device wifi?

You see that Tech Quicky video on the right please watch it

I saw that. Useful information, but in theory, it should happen to a bunch of devices connected to my wifi, it only happens to 2 specifically. One of them, over the course of a few months + a replacement. I want to chalk it up to win10 issues, but I want to be 100% certain its win 10.

Over the course of the past year, the only device with the issue was my surface pro 4 and a replacement surface pro 4. I got the xps15 and that's the only other wireless device connected to 5ghz thats had issues. On the XPS though, i'm starting to suspect it may be the Killer wifi card, since there seems to be quite a number of complaints about it.

just a test - you can try this to see if you see an improvement in your wifi speeds.

Log into the Netgear Genie portal through your browser > Advanced > Setup > Qos setup > and then select your device and change it to high or very high priority

Ill give this a try. I actually turned off QoS since i'm running gigabit up and down. Wonder if thats causing issues.
