So if I understand correctly this is what I need to do:

1- Build the loop

2- Plug the pump in an external (or the one I use for the system) PSU which as a jumper so I do not have any risk of destroying the entire system

3- Fill the reservoir and turn the power on until there is a little bit of liquid in the reservoir

4- Repeat the process until the loop is full

5- Check for leaks and let the air out

Pretty much, yep.

Hello!

Okay so it's my first time doing a custom loop and I'm confused on how to fill the loop. I checked a bunch of videos and I'm confused.

My question to you guys is: How do I fill the loop? Do I turn the computer on and put the liquid in the reservoir until the loop is full, do I turn on and off the computer constantly to fill the loop or is it another way?

Thank you

You need to conduct a leak test before turning the PC on. The easiest way is to jumper your 24-pin cable while the pump being the only thing connected to the power supply.

Fill the reservoir, turn the power supply on, watch the pump push the liquid, turn the powersupply off well before the reservoir is empty. Then repeat until the loop is filled.

It is important to check for leaks constantly during this process and you should place paper towels just in case of leaks. Leave the system running like this for a while to make sure there aren't any slow leaks. Make sure you rock the case back and forth to get all the air out of the system. Only when all of this is done, then you should connect all the other power cables and turn on the whole system, once the air has been bled and is leak-free.

for safety reasons, i always use a external PSU with just the pump connected to it so if i have a leak i dont emediately kill the entire system :P

just hook up the pump te the external PSU, fill the reservoir, and turn on the PSU. wait thill the res is empty, refill the res and repeat untill the loop is full. depending on air in the loop you might have to fill it again after a few minutes/hours of use.

You'll wanna start with covering anywhere that there's a fitting with paper towel in case it leaks, then fill up the res, turn JUST THE PUMP on (only plug that in and then jump the 24 pin so that it'll turn on) until the res is almost empty, turn it off (don't run the pump dry), rinse and repeat until it's full. Then close the res and move the case around in random directions gently to try and get all the air you possibly can out. And of course then do like a day of just letting the pump run for leak testing.
