Hi I need some help building a new pc, I have a $200 budget and i want the most bang for buck. I might spend a little more ($20-30) but only if I get a good performance increase, but I would perfer not to. All I need is a cpu,ram,mobo,psu. I have a working EVGA e-Geforce 9800 gtx. Also are there any black friday or cyber monday seals that i should look out for? here is the build i was thinking of

no not really i just wanted to know if these parts were a good choice for a $200 pc or if there are better parts at that price point. Im upgrading from a old P4 pc so at this point anything is an upgrade

With a $200 i'd suggest you try and eBay/ earn more money for more components. The AMD Athlon CPU you linked is a good start, however what about your OS? A case? Hard drive? I know you're currently on a computer, but you need to think of these things.

I'd almost suggest you look on craigslist for a used computer, I've seen Core2Quads with 4Gb of ram, a full system, for less than $150.

[TRUENO] i7 4770k (~4.4Ghz, 1.28v) || Thermalright Macho 120 || Asus Z87 Gryphon || 2x8Gb Mushkin Blackline|| Reference NVIDIA GTX770 || Corsair Neutron GTX 480GB || 2x3TB WD HDD || Corsair 350D || Corsair RM750

yes yes, that will work  ^_^

still i do recommend (if you can friend) keep that original motherboard (with two PCIe x16)  ;)

MSI FM2-A85XA-G65 ATX FM2 Motherboard

APU = A10

LETS CROSSFIRE WITH FM2!

That won't be a bad idea.

I will try but it's to expensive and does the mircoATX one have 1 PCIe 16x slot?

1. I don't have the money

2. I have a EVGA e-Geforce 9800 GTX so I don't think I can crossfire

yes that micro atx have only one PCIe x16

but don't worry for that (one will do the work anyway)

i will kill for can do a crossfire with my machine this days, it will save me a lot of money when i can just add a 2d 7850

the FM2 can do crossfire (that is why the bring two PCIe x16 by the way)

and the 750k is a great (and cheap) gaming cpu

APU = A10

Get one 7950 and be happy. I tried crossfire. I got worse performance.

yes (check this and keep in mind that i love the A8)

the thing not pass for the cpu only, is the platform

the muscle cpus of AMD are in the AM3+ platform (the FX line and the Phenom II x4 line)

FM2 and FM2+ are target to APUs (and Athlon cpus), still i prefer this line instead AM3+

(but that is just me and my love for the A8 5600k and the A8 6600k)

APU = A10
