What's your thought in the configuration

Ryzen 1500x

Asus prime x370 pro

Kingstone hyperxfury 8gb ddr4

Zotac GTX 1050ti

1TB hard disk 7200rpm

pretty good, however make sure you get high frequency ram with ryzen perhaps 3000mhz or 3200mhz

Nice, but the X370 is usually not needed if you don't SLI or CROSSFIRE. You can save a few bucks on that and get a B350 (that is OC as well) and spent the remaining for a Ryzen 1600 or a better GPU. Or much more importantly, a 120/240gb SSD and in the future another 8gb of ram.

X370 motherboards really don't offer much more value than B350 motherboards do considering their price, so I would get a B350 motherboard, and use the money you saved to get a R5 1600 instead.

It's the other way around. If you want SLI + AM4, then SLI is only available on the X370 chipset. If he doesn't want to SLI or the other benefits of X370 (e.g. more SATA, USB, PCIe lanes), then yes he can step down to B350.

Note: GTX 1050 Ti's do not have SLI support.

Ypu camt get a better video card for a decemt price cause of bit miners. An ssd will make the system feel so much snappier. I say an ssd is basically a must have today. I would get a b350 board.
