hi, i just bought gtx 770 . I wanted to connect it to my pc but this card requires power connectors 6 and 8 pin. I couldn't find any slot that would fit the connector that came with the card. I don't know much about building pc's and i don't know what to do, is it because my motherboard doesn't have enough slots or is incompatible with the gtx770? My motherboard is m5a7bl m/usb3

Please help,

Thanks

Look for both of those connectors on the power supply. You don't need to connect anything to the motherboard, just plug the card in the motherboard, find those two cables on the power supply or plug them in.
What I think you're doing right now is you're trying to plug the molex to 6 & 8 pin adapters into the motherboard. :)

ok, i got the cable which consists of two 6pin connectors and one 8 pin,    two 6 pin connectors are on the one end and 8 pin connector is on the other end of the cable. i connected 8pin connector to the graphics card but there are still two 6 pin connectors left, i can't plug them in to the graphics card because they don't fit, and i can't find any other connectors that are coming from the psu ( is it possible that the power supply might be incompatible with this card?) ,,  sorry for being stupid, i'm a noob when it comes to the pc interiors.

GTX 770 requires two power connectors, 8-pin and 6-pin.

Did you buy the card new from the store? If you did, then 8-pin and 6-pin connectors should be included on separate cables. They usually look like this:

i think that 8 pin is supposed to be connected to the power supply and that 6+6pin to your graphics card. which means you dont have the necessary connector for your graphics card 8+6 pin. check the accessories that comes included with the card for a molex to 8 pin connector.

First thing, that PSU looks kinda weak for a GTX 770. Don't know what your budget is but you should really invest in a good more powerful modular PSU, something like for example Corsair AX 760.

Second, if you bought the card new from the store, than all necessary connectors/cables should be included, so if this (one cable) is all you got than you should return the card. If you bought the car used or from ebay than you're out of luck and will have to go to the store and buy necessary connectors.

Judging from your PSU, this would be the perfect connectors for you, if you have enough free MOLEX's:

Ok, I bought these two cables and now I just have to wait for the courier. One more queation, if my psu is jot suitable for 770, will it cause some problems to my pc?

If the card draws too much power, either:

A: The system will not boot

B: Your PSU will burn out

C: Your system will BSoD from time-to-time when its under heavy load.

You really should've checked the requirements of the card before buying it.

Also, if you don't have any knowledge of the internal workings of a computer (tbh you could've looked up a video of "How to install a GTX770" or "Installing a GTX770"), you should've just paid a local hardware store to install it.

You will need a new power supply, your current one doesn't provide nearly enough, to power that card. You could end up destroying the power supply if you try and run that card. Nvidia calls for at least a 600 watt power supply, depending on where you are in the world a 600 watt power supply shouldn't cost too much. Even if it says 469W will be fine, the power supply will almost be running under 100% load all the time.

one last question, will this psu be compatible with my motherboard? http://www.amazon.co.uk/Corsair-CX750-Builder-Series-Bronze/dp/B008RJZR40/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1385642422&sr=8-2&keywords=750w+psu

My motherboard is m5a7bl m/usb3

Every modern motherboard on the planet is compatible with every PSU on the planet.....(in essence), they all use the same standard connectors.

But for the love of god, please get someone professional to the install the PSU. Either that or start watching LTT's build guides.

don’t get put-off, doing you own pc  builds it a learning process. (that’s half the fun)

The good new is YouTube is there to help you.  Computer upgrades is all over YouTube.

That GPU looks like it will outperform the other hardware in the system.  But it will be better than what’s there.

possibly post you full pc spec

Yes, this PSU is compatible and it also has all connectors for GTX770 (it has 2 x 6+2 PCIe connectors.)

!!! Just noticed when looking at your motherboard photos. Is your case big enough for a GTX770 because it's a long card and goes beyond microATX motherboards? !!!

750W PSU is just overkill.. just find some 550W compatible with your card. (6+2 + 6+2 PCIe or 6 + 6+2 PCIe or 6 + 8 PCIe). Or use that MOLEX to PCIe cable on 8pin if you can.

(I have 550W PSU and I draw not even 400W at full load after overclock! So I assume that you will be drawing little over 400W with your CPU.)
