I don't know a lot about networking but I'm certain that 300mbps is enough for video streaming and gaming, but on the back of the packaging:

If you're streaming just run a wire you can get 200 feet cables for less than 60 and that way you'll get 1000 mbps but its less about speed and more about reliability

That's not the speed of the actual internet connection, and that's just some marketing crap trying to get someone to buy the most expensive thing when the most basic one would suffice.

Personally Id go with the one with 5Ghz, if your router is dual band. 5Ghz has better speeds and I feel it can be more stable due to less environmental interference. 

 

That being said, I used to game on Wireless G with out much issues. Sure your ping will be higher. To me its more about your ISP when it comes to quality. 

I just want to sit back and watch the world burn.
